Resignation of Cr Simon Robinson

Cr Simon Robinson has resigned from his position on Council, effective immediately.

The Shire thanks Cr Robinson for his contribution to Council and the community during his time in office, and wishes him well for the future.

What happens next?

The resignation creates a vacancy on Council. The Shire is awaiting advice from the Western Australian Electoral Commission on whether an extraordinary election is required and, if so, when it will be held. The Shire will update the community once this is confirmed.

In the meantime, Council will continue to meet and make decisions as normal.
