The Shire is establishing a panel of approved contractors to carry out vital fuel hazard reduction, firebreak, and paddock slashing works on properties that do not meet the requirements of the Firebreak and Fuel Hazard Reduction Notice.
We invite interested contractors to review the attached Request for Quote (RFQ) and submit a response to join our panel.

What the Process Involves
We have kept the application straightforward to respect your time:
- Simple Paperwork: The RFQ is a brief three-page document accompanied by a one-page submission form.
- Flexibility: Simply provide your hourly rates for the specific plant you intend to use. You can choose the work types that suit your setup; there is no requirement to take on both firebreaks and fuel hazard reduction if only one applies to your business.
- Pre-Registration: Complete the attached New Creditor Form to register as a supplier in our finance system now, ensuring your first invoice can be processed quickly without delays.
- No Obligation: Being accepted onto the panel does not commit you to any minimum amount of work. When jobs arise, we will contact panel members with the details, allowing you to accept or decline based on your current availability.
How to Apply
- Download and read the Request for Quote Document (PDF) attached below.
- Complete the Submission Form and review the attached Submission Checklist to ensure all required items are included.
- Complete the New Creditor Form.
- Submit your completed response before Friday 18 September 2026 at 4.00 pm (WAST) following the instructions outlined in the RFQ.
