Public Notice: Planned Telstra Mobile Network Disruption (Greenbushes)

The Shire of Bridgetown-Greenbushes wishes to advise residents and businesses in the Greenbushes area of a planned maintenance outage being conducted by Telstra.

This essential maintenance on the local mobile site will result in a reduction or loss of Telstra mobile coverage for several days.

Disruption Details

Service Impacted: Telstra mobile services in the Greenbushes area.

Start Date/Time: 7:00 AM on Monday, 11th November 2025

End Date/Time: 6:00 PM on Thursday, 14th November 2025

Nature of Impact: The mobile site will be switched off, impacting all mobile services relying on this site.

Services NOT Affected: Landline services, nbn, or other broadband internet services will continue to operate normally.

 

Connectivity and Safety Advice

Emergency Services (000): Any calls to Triple Zero (000) from a Telstra mobile when the site is off air will automatically connect to another mobile network if available for connection to emergency services.

Staying Connected (Calls/Texts): Telstra customers are strongly encouraged to enable Wi-Fi Calling on their mobile phones. This free setting allows your mobile to make and receive calls and texts while connected to a Wi-Fi or nbn network.

Business Operations: Business owners are advised to contact their bank regarding connecting EFTPOS terminals to their NBN or Wi-Fi connection to prevent delays in processing transactions during the outage period.
