From Monday, 25 May 2026, the Shire will begin works to repair and improve the footpath along Steere Street between Spencer Street and Roe Street. The footpath in this section will be replaced to improve safety and remove uneven areas.
What you need to know:
• 🚶♂️ Footpath closure: This section of footpath will be closed to pedestrians during the works. Signage will be in place to direct you safely to the footpath on the opposite side of the road.
• 🚗 Parking impacts: Parking bays within this section will be temporarily closed. Please use the Town Square car park or nearby street parking.
• 🗓️ Completion timeframe: Works are expected to be completed by Wednesday, 10 June 2026 (weather permitting).
