One month to go. Rural landholders, this one's for you.

Larger properties take longer, and the weather window between now and mid-November is narrower than it feels. If you're on acreage, the jobs worth booking in now:

🔥 Boundary breaks - the full perimeter, 3m wide, trafficable the whole way. Check the corners and the creek crossings, that's where they fail

🏚️ Asset protection - breaks around the house, sheds, haystacks, fuel and chemical storage

🌾 Paddocks - slashing long grass and stubble, particularly along road frontages and near neighbours

🚧 Access - gates wide enough, tracks clear of low branches, and turnaround space so an appliance isn't reversing out of a dead end

💧 Water - tanks and dams accessible to a truck, with a standard fitting on the outlet

If you're getting a contractor in, ring them now. Local operators book out fast in October and November, and "I couldn't get anyone" isn't a defence under the Notice.
