Help Shape the Future of Industrial Land in Bridgetown

The Shire of Bridgetown-Greenbushes is seeking input from local businesses, trades, contractors, service providers and industry operators to help assess the need for a proposed Bridgetown Light Industrial Area.

An early structure plan was adopted in 2012 for land near the Bridgetown Sports Ground to explore a dedicated light industrial precinct. At this stage, no decision has been made to proceed. The Shire is now testing whether there is enough demand to justify further planning, through a Needs Analysis being conducted by an external consultant.

With limited resources and competing priorities, it's important that any future planning is backed by clear evidence of business need - whether local businesses require industrial land, what type of lots are needed, and what infrastructure or services would be critical to support future operations.

We want to hear directly from businesses about:

  • Current land or operational constraints
  • Future expansion plans
  • Demand for industrial lots or workshop space
  • Preferred lot sizes and layouts
  • Access, servicing and infrastructure requirements
  •

How to have your say

  • Business survey - complete it online, or pick up a hard copy from the Shire Administration Office. Open Tuesday 7 July to Friday 24 July 2026.
  • Business workshop - join us to discuss needs, opportunities and challenges in more detail. Town Hall, Monday 3 August, 5:00–6:30pm. Registration opens Tuesday 7 July. Please register here.

This is your opportunity to help shape future economic development in Bridgetown. If your business needs more space, better facilities, or future industrial land options, we encourage you to take part. Your feedback will help determine whether the proposed Light Industrial Area should move to the next stage of planning.
