1 April – 15 May (dates subject to change)
The Restricted Burning Period starts tomorrow, and permits are required for all burning activities during this time.
Before You Burn:
Permits can only be obtained from your local Fire Control Officer (FCO). As most FCOs are volunteers, please plan ahead and allow time to arrange your permit.
Bridgetown Townsite Permits:
Permits within the townsite are issued by Robert McCance on 0427 267 624 during business hours 7.30am to 3pm.
All Other Areas:
For properties outside the townsite, please visit our website for permit information and FCO contacts:
https://www.bridgetown.wa.gov.au/residents/emergency-services/permits-burning-information.aspx
Important Requirements:
- A permit must be obtained before lighting any fire
- The permit holder must have the permit on them at all times
- You must present the permit if requested by an FCO or Ranger
Information Required for a Permit:
Be prepared to provide:
✔️ Property address where the burn will take place
✔️ Details of 3 able-bodied people attending the fire at all times (with contact number)
✔️ Available firefighting equipment (in good working order)
✔️ Confirmation of firebreaks and property access for emergency vehicles

Remember:
The permit holder is responsible for ensuring all permit conditions are followed.
