The Southern Forests and Valleys Heritage Festival 2025 (April 19 – 4th May) will bring history to life with a fantastic lineup of events across the region. All events in Bridgetown-Greenbushes are completely free, offering a chance to explore, learn, and celebrate our rich heritage.
Enjoy guided tours and historic sites, including the Maranup Ford Historic Garden Tour & Morning Tea, the Greenbushes Ghost Walk – Anzac Theme, and open days at the Bridgetown Police Station Museum and Greenbushes Discovery Centre.
For creatives and storytellers, take part in the Memoir Writing Workshop, Threads Of Our Ancestors textile workshop, or Heritage Rhyme Time for young families. Art lovers will enjoy the Sandra Hill Exhibition, Anna Salen: Immigrants to Australia, and the Jigsaw Gallery Open Day.
Film screenings include A Million Acres a Year and Breathing Life into Boodja, both followed by insightful Q&A sessions.
A festival highlight is the Official Opening of the Bridgetown Town Hall, featuring a Community Open Day with guided tours, vintage cartoons, historic displays, morning tea, and live performances. That evening, dress up for the Grand Ball, a night of music, dancing, and celebration.
The festival wraps up with the Classic Car Show and Parade, showcasing stunning vintage vehicles.
