The Shire and Transition Bridgetown are excited to launch something special at our next Repair Café - Mini Workshops led by our amazing volunteers!
Learn hands-on skills to help you maintain or repair your broken items, including darning holes in wool clothing, wheeled item maintenance (bikes, skateboards, scooters, rollerblades) and jewellery repairs✨
Thanks to our skilled volunteer team we can also help repair a range of items, including:
🧵 Clothing & soft toys
💻 IT & tech gadgets
🛠️ General handyman fixes
🚲 Wheeled items (like bikes, scooters and wheelchairs)
🪑Small wooden items and furniture
🧴 Gluing broken items
💍 Jewellery repairs
🔧 Tool maintenance
Got something broken? Don’t toss it – bring it along and let’s see if we can give it a second life and make landfill the last resort! ♻️
Even if it’s a bit overcast or rainy, wrap up warm and come down – we’ll have heating on! 🔥 It’s a great way to connect, learn, and support sustainability in our community.
Community connection is at the heart of this initiative, so we won't be accepting dropped off items. We encourage you to stay, chat with your repairer, or enjoy some morning tea while your item is being assessed or repaired ☕
You're also welcome to bring along a project to work on - and if you need a hand, feel free to ask our skilled volunteer team for help!
💬 No broken item? No worries! Come along anyway to enjoy a cuppa and a chat at our morning tea. 🍰It’s a lovely way to meet others and share stories. If you’d like to contribute by bringing something to share, that’s always welcome!
💚 With brilliant volunteers on board, all we need is you and your broken things to bring this community initiative to life!
📅 Saturday 4th October & 15th November 2025
🕘 9am–12pm
📍 Bridgetown Lesser Hall
This project is supported by the Western Australia Government and the Waste Authority.
