🐾 PAWS & LAWS: Is your four-legged mate registered? 🐕📜

Whether you have a brand-new pup or you’ve recently moved to our beautiful neck of the woods, ensuring your dog is registered with the Shire of Bridgetown-Greenbushes is one of the most important parts of being a responsible pet owner.

Under WA law, all dogs over the age of 3 months must be registered. More importantly, if your adventurous hound ever decides to go on a solo trek or gets spooked by a winter storm, a registration tag is their absolute fastest ticket home!

Here is a quick guide on how to get it done:

📋 What you need before you apply:
1. Microchip Number: All dogs must be microfitted before they can be registered.
2. Proof of Sterilisation: If your dog is desexed, bring along the certificate from your vet to access a significantly discounted registration rate!

💰 Registration Options:
We offer 1-year, 3-year, or Lifetime registrations. Choosing a lifetime registration means never having to worry about renewal paperwork again! (Concession card holder discounts apply).

🏛️ How to register:
• In Person: Pop into the Shire Administration Office at 1 Steere Street, Bridgetown. Our friendly team will help you fill out the paperwork and hand over your dog's official registration tag on the spot.
• Online: Download the registration form from our website, fill it out, and email it back to us with your certificates.

If your dog is already registered but you have recently changed your phone number, moved house, or updated your pet's microchip details, please let us know so we can keep our database accurate.

Let's keep our local pets safe and legal! 🐶
