Upcoming sewer works along Hampton Street

The Water Corporation will soon be commencing night works to sewer access chambers along Hampton Street.

This work is necessary to ensure the integrity of the sewer system to reduce the likelihood of wastewater overflows. Existing manhole lids will be cut from the bitumen road and replacement lids will be fitted.

The work is scheduled to be carried out 6.00pm - 6.00am Sunday 5 December to Saturday 11 December 2021.

The work will have a moderate impact on the community. These works involve mobile plant, generators, bitumen cutting and lighting towers over the work zone. You may also notice a temporary odour whilst lids are removed.

Works are being carried out on the main street and do not require access into private property. Traffic management will be in place to direct people safely as there will be a land closed for works to be carried out.

There will not be any service interruptions during this time.
