Whether you have attended one of the monthly gallery exhibitions or had a chat onsite with some of the talented artists, it’s quite clear that The Rabbit Hole is an indispensable aspect of our artistic and wider community. After a tumultuous year and with the mounting challenges of running a busy arts space, Jenny Mountford has transitioned the initiative to a not-for-profit hub, which will allow artists and art enthusiasts alike to be eligible for government and philanthropic grants and opportunities.
Jenny Mountford shared in her transition speech “It’s important we all continue to champion the arts, to insist it have an honoured place in our communities, to educate our children and grandchildren that an artist's skills should be no less valued than those of a tradesperson, an entrepreneur, a professional of any kind”.
There are art workshops on the horizon and several other plans identified for the New Year! In fact, the first exhibition of 2022, Renouvellement, kicks off on Saturday 8 January from 5:30-7:30 pm. You can keep an eye out for future events on their Facebook Page.
