During 2020, we undertook a new approach in developing our Strategic Community Plan.  That approach was in collaboration with consultant Lisa Lough from CATALYSE Pty Ltd who have a unique approach that benchmarks our performance, based on feedback of residents and ratepayers, against other local governments.  This was a very worthwhile process in terms of securing an assessment of our performance and the community’s priorities and expectations. 

As part of this process a community wide online survey was undertaken this allowed residents to provide individual comments on a range of issues.  In discussions with the consultant and Councillors we decided to make these comments available to the public as part of a transparent approach to engaging with our community.    Some of these comments are critical of Shire staff and Councillors so individual names have been redacted, otherwise the comments have not been edited in any way. We will continue to progress the development of the draft Strategic Community Plan and draft Corporate Business during February so we can undertake further engagement with you before these documents are formally endorsed.
