Just in case you haven’t noticed all of the work going on, we wanted to provide an update on all of the exciting projects that are currently underway.

TOWN HALL

The Town hall is undergoing a major face lift. With the 80’s false ceiling removed the amazing, curved structure of the original ceiling has once again been revealed. Once completed the Town Hall will have a power upgrade, new lighting, stage set-up and curtains, audio upgrade and painting. Such a heritage rich building brought back to original condition with contemporary tech will provide a fantastic asset for the community to use. The Town Hall Conservation and Adaption Project is being funded by Lotterywest and WA Recovery Plan Funding, through the State Government and Council.

GREENBUSHES RECREATION PRECINCT

The Greenbushes Recreation Precinct (yet to be formally named) is full steam ahead with demolition of the original infrastructure complete and the beginnings of the new skate park, shelter and ¼ basketball court taking shape already.  This project is being funded by Talison, the Federal Government’s Local Roads and Community Infrastructure Program and Council.

GREENBUSHES CAR PARK

The Greenbushes Car Park project is also close to being finalized with clearing and earthworks almost complete. This will offer the community a formal bituminized car park with drainage and universal access. This project has been funded by Federal Government’s Local Roads and Community Infrastructure Program.

CRICKET NETS

Finally the Cricket Practice Nets and shared storage shed. Council have been working in close partnership if the Bridgetown Cricket Club and the other sports clubs that call the Bridgetown Sports Ground home, to develop cricket practice nets and storage for the Cricket Club. This has been on Council's radar for many years and it is great for Bridgetown Cricket to have access to this new infrastructure. This project is being funded by Department of Local Government Sport and Culture in there Community Sporting and Recreation Facilities Fund, the Bridgetown Cricket Club, WA Cricket Association, Talison and Council.
