We’re Hiring – Visitor Centre Officer

 

Based in beautiful Bridgetown, WA

Part-time – includes weekend work

Level 3.1 – Local Government Award + Enterprise Agreement

Are you a friendly face who loves talking to people and sharing what makes our region special? We’re looking for a Visitor Centre Officer to join our team at the Shire of Bridgetown-Greenbushes.

You’ll be working at the heart of our tourism hub – the Bridgetown Visitor Centre – helping locals and tourists make the most of their time in the region.

What you’ll be doing:

 

  • Greeting and helping visitors with local info, maps and ideas
  • Answering phone calls, emails and in-person enquiries
  • Keeping the centre tidy, stocked and welcoming
  • Helping manage retail items (stock, pricing, displays)
  • Processing payments and completing daily banking
  • Collecting tourism stats and supporting promotional activities
  • Being a team player in a positive, community-focused environment

What we’re looking for:

 

  • Someone who knows and loves the local area
  • Great people skills – warm, helpful, and a good communicator
  • Confident using Microsoft Office and handling basic admin
  • Able to stay organised and juggle a few tasks at once
  • Available to work weekends
  • A driver’s licence is a must

Bonus points if you have:

 

  • Tourism experience or qualifications
  • Used BookEasy or VEND POS systems before
  • Worked in a Visitor Centre or local government before
