Mobile Food Vehicle Trial

At the Shire of Bridgetown – Greenbushes June Council meeting, a report was passed by Council to temporarily suspend Council Policy H.6 – Mobile and Itinerate Traders, to trial a process of allowing mobile food vendors within the Shire under controlled conditions.

The aim of the trial is to see how mobile food vendors could impact on existing cafes and restaurants and whether there is public demand for food trucks.

The Shire is now seeking Expressions of Interest (EoI) for Mobile Food Vendors to participate in the trial.

A comprehensive information package is now available HERE providing details of how the trial will be run and guidance on how to participate in the trial.

Shire President, Jenny Mountford, said the trial would run for six months after which a detailed report on the outcomes of the trail would be presented to Council. “The Council is keen to investigate and facilitate new initiatives which add activity and vibrancy to the Shire whilst ensuring the initiatives compliment and support our existing traders”.
