The Shire of Bridgetown-Greenbushes warmly invites artists of all levels to participate in the 2026 People and Places Art Awards. Celebrating the faces that tell our stories and the landscapes that define our home through art. Whether you are an established artist or a budding young creator, we look forward to seeing the world through your eyes.

 


1. The Archies Exhibition: Portraits

Focusing on the human spirit and the faces of our community.

  • Exhibition Dates: 3 – 30 June 2026

  • Registration Deadline: 4pm, 27 May 2026

  • Artwork Delivery: 28 or 29 May at the Bridgetown Visitors Centre.

    • > Please note: Late entries cannot be accepted to ensure a curated gallery experience.

Awards & Prizes

  • Best Portrait: $1,000

  • Best Local Identity: $750

  • Youth Category (Ages 12–24): $500

  • People’s Choice: $500 (Announced at the conclusion of the exhibition)

Opening Night & Award Presentation: Join us for an elegant evening of art and conversation on 3 June 2026, 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm.


2. The Landscape Exhibition

Celebrating natural beauty and unique vistas.

  • Exhibition Dates: 1 – 31 July 2026

  • Registration Deadline: 4pm, 24 June 2026

  • Artwork Delivery: 25 or 26 June at the Bridgetown Visitors Centre.

    • > Please note: Late entries cannot be accepted.

Awards & Prizes

  • Best Landscape: $1,000

  • Best Local Landscape: $750

  • Youth Category (Ages 12–24): $500

  • People’s Choice: $500 (Announced at the conclusion of the exhibition)

Conditions of Entry

  • Every entry must be entirely the original work of the exhibiting artist.
  • Works must have been completed in the last 12 months.
  • Excludes Photography.
  • Sculptures and other mediums may enter.
  • Size limits apply Max 100cm x 90cm.
  • One entry per exhibition.
  • 25% commission on artworks sold during exhibition.
  • Please mark the back of each exhibit clearly with name, title of work, medium and selling price (including the 25% commission).
  • Artists must complete finance forms before exhibition. Sent upon registration.
  • All 2D works must be mounted, dry and ready to hang.
  • Unsold works must be collected in the two days following the closure of the exhibition.
