Ashbil Community Garden Bridgetown

Ashbil Community Garden Bridgetown aims to establish and maintain a community garden in Bridgetown that is based on organic and environmentally friendly propagation methods, community development principles and is accessible to the whole of the community. The garden is run entirely by volunteers, many of whom join in order to learn how to establish their own gardens. We have regular workshops and “market” days when produce is available through a donation system.

Blackwood Basin Group Inc.

The Blackwood Basin Group is a not-for-profit, community-managed  Landcare group that has assisted landholders in caring for the  natural resources of our catchment for over twenty years. The group provides leadership, coordination and education in sustainable resource management.  The Blackwood Basin Group works with the community to achieve long-term environmental outcomes.

Blues at Bridgetown Inc.

The Blues at Bridgetown is a volunteer run incorporated organisation who run the annual Blues at Bridgetown Festival the second weekend in November.  It  is a three day festival in both ticketed and free venues spread throughout the town.

The Bridgetown Agricultural Society hosts the annual Bridgetown Show on the 4th Saturday of November. We are a volunteer community group who manage the show grounds and support other community events.

Bridgetown Camera Club

The aim of our club is to help and encourage people of all levels of photography from beginners to advanced, to learn and enjoy photography in a relaxed, fun and friendly atmosphere. Bridgetown Greenbushes Friends of the Forest (BGFF)

BGFF has actively supported preservation of native forests of Bridgetown and the South West  for 40 years. That we still have the green belt surrounding Bridgetown is largely due to our past efforts.

Greenbushes Acoustic

Greenbushes Acoustic is a mental health support group with an acoustic music focus in Greenbushes. The main aim is to bring people together to play, sing and listen to live acoustic music, build relationships and community, as well as skills. The inclusive Support Group is open to people of all ages, skills, and abilities. We provide a creative and mutual learning space to foster mental health maintenance and wellbeing.

Greenbushes Community Garden

A community garden in the centre of town as a space to care for local biodiversity as well as grow food together, nurture friendships, share knowledge and grow community spirit. The garden only has community beds. Annual membership is $15. All welcome.

The Bridgetown Repertory Club (INC)

The Bridgetown Theatre is a vibrant hub for stage performances in Bridgetown, to entertain the general public in the town and surrounding areas. It would be usual for the Theatre to produce three to four plays each year, with other groups and charitable organisations using the hub for additional shows, fund raising and learning experiences. The Club is organised and run by voluntary expertise from the area and uses all funds received to fund forthcoming performances and for the upkeep of the building.

W.A. Bush Fire Museum and Heritage Group

Based out of Bridgetown, The W.A. Bush Fire Museum and Heritage Group is advancing the establishment of a museum dedicated to Bush Fires, Bush Fire Volunteers and other agencies involved in bush fire prevention and suppression.
