Key Dates

The Shire is currently going through the procurement process. The results will further define a works schedule.

Project Overview

The revitalisation of the Town Hall will ensure that this important, heritage-listed, public space is restored to its original condition, enhancing the town centre.  The provision of a multi-function/creative centre will attract regional interest and dramatically increased the use of the building, creating a cultural and artistic hub. The activation of the town centre will encourage economic development by providing opportunities for and engagement with  local, regional and state creative and cultural organisations and business.

The Town Hall and Civic Centre has been largely underutilised and there have been many missed opportunities to support local, regional and touring events, due to the condition and technical capabilities of the Town Hall and Civic Centre. The revitalised Town Hall will be capable of hosting local, regional and state events and business and private functions with the technical capabilities to cater for the needs of the organisers within the restored heritage surrounds of the venue.
