An opportunity to share your views with the Shire

The Shire of Bridgetown’s Disability Access & Inclusion Plan (DAIP) 2013-2016 is currently under review and we are undertaking the community consultation component of the review process by survey.

The survey is open to all interested residents and visitors to the Shire.

The purpose reviewing the DAIP is two-fold ;

  • To assess how successful the strategies outlined in the previous DAIP have been at overcoming barriers and achieving positive outcomes for people with disability in the community.
  • To understand and identify any new or existing barriers within the community for people with disability.

 Your feedback is a vital element in improving access and inclusion within the Shire of Bridgetown-Greenbushes.

The Disability Services Act 1993 (amended 2004) requires local government authorities to review their DAIPs at least every five years.  Local government authorities must undertake community consultation, in accordance with the regulations, whenever reviewing or amending a DAIP.
