After the success of having a stand at the Bridgetown Show in 2022, it was decided that we would make it an annual opportunity for the community to chat with Councillors and Executive Staff. 

This year, in a effort to make our stand inviting and engaging, we ran with the them of Turning Lemons in Lemonade - Turning Community Concerns in Sweet Success.

The 'Lemonade Stand' turned out to be a hit, especially as it was such a hot day and cold lemonade was on offer! Equally popular was our suggestion board where we had paper lemons available for community to write theire suggestions on a stick on the wall. 

We had 113 suggestions which were compiled into a table and shared with council. 

Along with some comical and fun suggestions, it was heartening to see that a lot of the suggestions were for projects that are already planned and there was lots of praise for the Shire and a pride in Bridgetown-Greenbushes as a place to live.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by, said hello, provided a suggestion and enjoyed a cold lemonade.
