Shire President John Nicholas recently provided a verbal update by video on the challenges of the year to date with regard to COVID-19 and the importance of continuing to be aware of, and follow, relevant hygiene and social distancing protocols.

John also explored the local economy stimulus projects including upgrades to the Bridgetown Town Hall as a creative industry for art and cultural events, the upgrade of the 13 hectare ‘River Park’ precinct as a recreational and tourism attractor and further development at the Bridgetown Skate Park to create a more comprehensive ‘youth precinct’.   These projects have all been developed over the past 2 – 3 years after community consultation regarding the strategic focus of the Shire.
