Resignation of Councillor Barbara Johnson

Councillor Barbara JohnsonCouncillor Barbara Johnson has resigned from Council, effective Thursday 21 April 2022. Barbara served as a councillor for two and a half years after being elected in October 2019. This included a two year term as Deputy President between October 2019 and October 2021.

During her time as a councillor Barbara represented the Shire on a number of committees and groups, including the Access and Inclusion Committee, CEO Performance Review Committee and Bridgetown Greenbushes Business & Tourism Association.

CEO Tim Clynch paid tribute to Cr Johnson saying “in her service on Council Barbara has made a significant contribution to our community, her presence and input will be greatly missed.  We acknowledge Barbara for the great commitment she made to the effective operations of the Council”.

In tendering her resignation Barbara wished the Council all the best in their future deliberations and decision making which she promised to follow with interest.

We wish Barbara all the best in her future endeavours.
