Active Innovation Heart Foundation Funding

Published on Friday, 27 November 2020 at 8:01:00 AM

We have been working collaboratively with Blackwood Youth Action to identify and source funding for projects and programs that enhance quality of life for our young people.

Recently we were successful in being invited to ‘pitch’ a concept to the Heart Foundation for a range of activities aimed at improving social connection through provision of mentoring, hiking, camping, canoeing and equine assisted learning.

These activities were selected to build resilience, confidence and connection with others, as well as leadership and personal growth opportunities. We look forward to pitching this idea to the national judging panel in early December. In 2019 only 8 groups were funded through the Innovation Heart Challenge so we know we will have to work hard to be one of the successful ones in 2020.  To learn more about Heart Health and the Innovation Challenge click here.
