About Bridgetown-Greenbushes
The Shire of Bridgetown-Greenbushes consists of the town-sites of Bridgetown and Greenbushes as well as several other localities including Yornup and Catterick.
Bridgetown
Location
Approximately 268 km south of Perth and about 95km south of Bunbury, on the South Western Highway. Approximately 3 hours drive from Perth.
Bridgetown is nestled amongst the hills on the banks of the Blackwood River and has the rare combination of old world charm and modern facilities. Many fine old buildings have been restored to their former glory, including the post office, old goal, police quarters and 'Bridgedale', the home built in 1862 by one of the areas first settlers, John Blechynden.
Barbecues are located in Memorial Park and Blackwood River Park. Public toilets are located at the Greater Sports ground, Civic Centre, Memorial Park and Blackwood River Park in Bridgetown and Thomson Park.

Greenbushes
Location
251 km south of Perth and 85 km south of Bunbury. Approximately 2.5 hours drive from Perth.
Visitors can experience many breathtaking drives and picturesque walks in Greenbushes. Take in spectacular wildflowers, jarrah forests or stand in awe at the view over an open cut mine. Key attractions are the Greenbushes Heritage Trail and the Eco-Cultural Discovery Centre. There is an enormous amount of history and natural beauty on Greenbushes and evidence still remains of the towns past glories.
In Greenbushes there are public toilets located at the rear of the Old Roads Board Building on Blackwood Road at the Sports Ground off Blackwood Road near the South West Highway and at the Swimming Pool. Barbecue facilities and a gazebo are located in the Heritage Park opposite the Greenbushes Discovery Centre on Blackwood Road and at the Information Bay Picnic area. The Discovery Centre is open to visitors on weekends between 10.00am and 2.00 pm or by appointment and a public mine lookout is open 7 days a week from 8.00am to 5.00pm.
