TransWA Buses in Bridgetown

Published on Wednesday, 9 December 2020 at 8:19:23 AM

From 1st February 2021 the Public Transport Authority (PTA) will be introducing TransBridgetown bus services in Bridgetown.

These buses will officially commence operating over several school routes, effectively establishing a public transport service for the Bridgetown community.

The TransBridgetown buses will be utilised dedicated school specials with the orange school buses being withdrawn and replaced with two new ‘school specials', 701 and 702.  These two new TransBridgetown buses will be the same modern silver and green buses as Transperth and other TransRegional services like Bunbury, Busselton and Albany.

Matt Aliacus, Manager of Regional Town Bus Services with PTA advised that the decision to create TransBridgetown was made following the 18 month trial using two orange school buses which attracted more fare paying customers than initially estimated.
