Tourism Project Officer Job for Our Local Tourism Organisation

Southern Forest & Valleys

The Southern Forest & Valleys Tourism Association (SFVTA) is our ‘local tourism organisation’.  They have recently advised that they are looking to transition across to the Warren Blackwood Alliance of Councils (WBAC) activities and opportunities. Despite this likely change, there will be continuity of marketing and promotion for the region.

The reason for the transition include SFVTA Board identifying that the Association was not functioning as a sustainable organisation in its current form due to low funding and limited sponsorship opportunities.

There will be a transition period, however we anticipate WBAC will continue to broker and offer opportunities to promote our region as detailed in past Shire News including the article on how our local businesses could featured in state-wide TV advertising and promoting our culinary options in the region.

The new model will see a Tourism Project Officer appointed by the Warren Blackwood Alliance of Councils (Bridgetown-Greenbushes; Boyup Brook; Donnybrook-Balingup, Nannup and Manjimup).

This is a great employment opportunity (28 hours per week, home based, $38 per hour) for an experienced project officer to foster the development of tourism in the region.  Applications close on Friday 12 November 2021 so contact Katie McDonnell (info@wbac.net.au) for an application pack.
