Did you know we (along with our neighbours Shire of Manjimup and Nannup) invested in the development of the regional trails website? You can check it out here
This website was initiated about 8 years ago as an outcome from the first Regional Trails Master Plan developed by the Warren Blackwood Alliance of Council’s (Shires of Bridgetown-Greenbushes, Manjimup and Nannup). The Plan itself is now obsolete, but several key outcomes of that Plan were progressed by us as the lead agency on behalf of the Alliance. This included mapping the Blackwood River for canoe maps and progressing the Regional Bridle Trail. The Bridle Trail is the longest equestrian trail in WA and is based on the old stock routes of some of the original pioneering families in the South West. Council’s Trails Development Advisory Committee is currently undertaking a review our Local Trails Plan which will be shared with local trail user groups and the wider community in July 2021 for comment and feedback.
