Tidy Towns Sustainable Communities Awards 2021

Published on Wednesday, 12 May 2021 at 8:00:00 AM

Despite the name, the Keep Australia Beautiful Tidy Towns Sustainable Communities Awards are not just for ‘tidy towns’!  Having run for over 50 years the awards continue to be a valued resource for communities in their sustainable and litter free initiatives, and it's a friendly competition between towns.

Keep Australia Beautiful Council's (KABC) annual awards are open to all regional and remote communities. They recognise, reward and promote initiatives as diverse as litter prevention, environmental education, preserving heritage, community action and youth leadership. The diversity of submitted projects reflects the diversity of communities in regional and remote Western Australia.  You can view the full 7 award categories and judging criteria here

If you would like to nominate your community group, or a group you believe deserves recognition please let us know (or you can nominate directly on line yourself).  Last year the Bridgetown Historical Society and Bridgetown Youth Action Group were nominated as well as Greenbushes CRC.  You can read more about those nominations here
