The Commonwealth Department of Infrastructure, Transport, Regional Development and Communications has released the Reform of the Disability Standards for Accessible Public Transport 2002 (Transport Standards): Consultation Regulation Impact Statement for review.

The Transport Standards were originally released in 2002 (under the Disability Discrimination Act 1992) and are reviewed every five years. The 2012 review included a key recommendation to modernise the Transport Standards.

The public consultation period closes on Friday, 23 April 2021.  You can contribute by sending a written submission or by completing an online survey here.
