Greenbushes is one of six WA Tidy Town State Finalists this year! The winners will be announced on Friday 26 November 2021 at the Awards Luncheon. In addition to the State title, judges also assessed towns for the following categories including:
- Litter Prevention & Waste Management
- Young Legends
- Environmental Sustainability – Nature Conservation
- Environmental Education
- Heritage and Culture
- Community Action & Wellbeing
The Greenbushes Day Out concept is a finalist for the Environmental Sustainability – Nature Conservation category, which recognises an outstanding community’s achievements in adaptation to environmental change. Often through working in partnership with local government, industry and the wider public.
Greenbushes also appear as finalists in the Community Action & Wellbeing category. This highlights the achievements of a community in creating a healthy, vibrant community that has actively engaged groups from all sectors.
This is not the first time Greenbushes has been recognised their efforts! They won the Western Australia Tidy Towns in 2016! Well done to our active Greenbushes community! We wish you the best!
