In March 2021 the hardworking BYA committee, staff and volunteers launched a new quarterly electronic newsletter called BYA Advocate.  This initiative is jam packed with information on the achievements of this remarkable group. 

The first edition of the Advocate included an update on the “Youth Space” (the old officer-in-charge house at 24 Steere Street); an overview of the very successful Rotary Tour of the Blackwood road cycling event (which raises funds for youth mental health); a summary of the impactful Youth Action Region Network Mental Health Expo held on 24th March 2021 and an overview of the Skate Comp held on 14th January.  There were also interesting articles on the “Pay it Forward” Program (providing increased accessibility to the pool) and the BYA Outreach Program.  You can also subscribe to receive the Advocate directly to your email account here
