Blackwood River Art Trail Event

Published on Friday, 26 March 2021 at 12:54:28 PM

Following a very successful art trail event in Nannup in 2020 where there were eight participating venues hosting a variety of art exhibitions in and around the town, event organizers have expanded the reach of the event for 2021 to include the other ‘villages in the valley’ towns of Balingup, Greenbushes and Bridgetown.

There is a total of 21 venues participating in this year’s art trail event including eight in our Shire.  This includes some of our well-known artist venues and some vacant premises currently being utilised for the express purpose of hosting an exhibition, like Kim Perrier who will be exhibiting in the old “Kordics Holden” showroom.

Other participants include Christine Latham in the Rabbit Hole studio, Su Berghuis-Garde and John Garde at Tinkahill Studio & Gallery and Laurie Bullied at Black Barn Studio.  You can view all the art trail brochure with all locations here.

Funded by applicant fees, advertising and sponsorship the organizers have actively promoted the event online and at the Nannup Music Festival via a stall to promote the event and encourage visitation in the participating towns.

Why not make a plan to take a day trip - head out and about during our lovely autumn weather, see some fantastic local art and stop off somewhere for lunch too?
