Community Sundowner

We are delighted to invite the community to join us at the Shire Community Sundowner on Tuesday evening 31 August 2021 in the Town Hall (just before it’s closed for renovations!). Light refreshments and beverages provided from 6pm – 8pm.

This interactive event will allow ratepayers and residents to engage with Shire officers and Councillors. We will also celebrate the launch of our new Strategic Community Plan (SCP) and Corporate Business Plan (CBP). These two documents are the outcome of the Scorecard Survey and Community Workshops from 2020, they identify and prioritise projects and direction for the next 4 years

At the Sundowner we will have an information stand for each of our main departments, all in one place!  So come along and:

  • Learn how your rates are calculated
  • Find out if you are eligible for pensioner and senior concessions
  • Discover how your rate dollars are spent in the Shire
  • Enquire about applications for verge development
  • Learn how bushfire risk is incorporated into building construction standards
  • Ask about permitted uses for certain land areas around Bridgetown
  • Discover current and future-planned Shire walk and art trails
  • Gain information about correct food labelling and Food Safe posters
