OPPORTUNITY TO COMMENT - DRAFT LOCAL TRAILS PLAN 2017 – 2022

Council has prepared a draft Local Trails Plan 2017 – 2022 which will provide strategic direction to assist with Council’s decision making in relation to service delivery for young people in the community.

Council seeks community feedback on the draft Local Trails Plan 2017 – 2022 prior to considering its formal adoption. Copies of the draft document can be obtained from the Shire library or here.

Public submissions on this proposal should be made in writing and addressed to the CEO, Shire of Bridgetown-Greenbushes, PO Box 271, Bridgetown, WA, 6255 and be received no later than 4pm Friday, 20 October 2017. CEMETERIES AMENDMENT LOCAL LAW 2017

It is hereby notified fro public information that the Shire of Bridgetown-Greenbushes has amended its Cemeteries Local Law. The purpose and effect of the Amendment Local Law is to rename the title of clause 8.6 to a more appropriate title and to correct a grammatical error in  clause 3.3.

A copy of the proposed Amendment Local Law takes effect from 16 September 2017 and may be inspected at, or obtained from the Shire's Library (75 Steere Street) during normal opening hours Monday to Saturday.

 

PARKING & PARKING FACILITIES AMENDMENT LOCAL LAW 2017

It is hereby notified fro public information that the Shire of Bridgetown-Greenbushes has amended its Parking and Parking Facilities Local Law. The purpose and effect of the Amendment Local Law is to provide further definition to clause 1.3(1) under "sign" interpretation.

A copy of the proposed Amendment Local Law takes effect from 16 September 2017 and may be inspected at, or obtained from the Shire's Library (75 Steere Street) during normal opening hours Monday to Saturday.

 

NOTICE OF ADOPTION OF STRATEGIC COMMUNITY PLAN AND CORPORATE BUSINESS PLAN

Notice is hereby given that Council, at its meeting held on 29 June 2017 adopted its new Shire of Bridgetown-Greenbushes 10+ Year Strategic Community Plan 2017. 

At the same meeting Council also adopted its new Corporate Business Plan 2017-2021.

PROPOSED ROAD NAME RATIONALISATION – WALTER STREET, BRIDGETOWN
SECTION 26A – LAND ADMINISTRATION ACT 1997

The Shire of Bridgetown-Greenbushes is proposing to un-name the central unconstructed portion of Walter Street, Bridgetown and rename the most eastern portion of Walter Street as Possum Place. The name ‘Firetail Place’ is proposed as an alternative option should the primary option of ‘Possum Place’ not be supported by Landgate.

A plan and background of the proposed renaming can be inspected at the Shire Office, 1 Steere Street, Bridgetown or available here. Written submissions on the proposed renaming should be lodged with the Chief Executive Officer, Shire of Bridgetown-Greenbushes, PO Box 271, Bridgetown WA 6255 on or before Thursday 14 September 2017. The proposal is advertised for public comment and should not be construed that final approval will be granted.

 

PROPOSED ROAD NAME RATIONALISATION SECTION 26A – LAND ADMINISTRATION ACT 1997
EVANS ROAD, GLENLYNN AND SUTTONS ROAD & NAIRNUP TRACK,
KANGAROO GULLY

The Shire of Bridgetown-Greenbushes is proposing to formally name the road locally known as Evans Ford Road as Evans Road; to un-name the central portion of Suttons Road; and to rename the eastern portion of Suttons Road as Nairnup Track, with the western portion of Suttons Road to remain unchanged.

The names of Bazeley Road and Curtze Track are respectively proposed as alternative options, should the primary proposed names of Evans Road and Nairnup Track not be supported by Landgate. A plan and background of the proposed naming rationalisation can be inspected at the Shire Office, 1 Steere Street, Bridgetown or here. HOME BASED BUSINESS REGULATORY REVIEW UPDATE
ADOPTION OF HOME BASED BUSINESS POLICY

Further to the previous notice published on 2 August 2017, pursuant to Clause 6.7.3 of the Shire of Bridgetown-Greenbushes Town Planning Scheme No. 3 and Clause 7.6.3 of the Shire of Bridgetown-Greenbushes Town Planning Scheme No. 4, Council gives notice that on 29 June 2017 it adopted the new Home Based Business Policy with modifications adding two new clauses 4.6.7 and 4.6.8, thereby superseding the former Home Occupation & Cottage Industry Policy.

Notice is hereby given that the Shire of Bridgetown-Greenbushes is currently considering a development application for a proposed Transient Workers Accommodation at Lot 3 (RSN 75) Old Mill Road,
North Greenbushes.

Charges for the 2017/2018 financial year to form part of its annual budget.
