Greenbushes Discovery Centre Wins Silver in 2007 WA Tourism Awards

The Greenbushes Discovery Centre has won a silver medal in the 2007 WA Tourism Awards in the category of Heritage and Cultural Tourism.

The small volunteer run centre was in a field of entrants in the Heritage and Cultural Tourism Category that included the Fremantle Museum, Perth Tram Company, Swan Bells, Donnelly River Cruises and Broome Sightseeing Tours.

Greenbushes Discovery Centre Chairman Pat Scallan said the committee and volunteers who run the centre were thrilled to be selected among the silver medal winners in the category.

"Its a great achievement for our centre to receive the recognition it has in these prestigious awards alongside some of the larger tourism ventures in the State." said Mr Scallan
