Youth Advisory Council
The Youth Advisory Council is set up to act as a direct line to both State and Local Government for young people.
This is a group of Young People that get together every month. It is an opportunity to discuss future projects and funding possibilities to address current issues facing our youth. The YAC is all about empowering young people to make a difference in their community to make it a better place for them to grow up and flourish in.
Youth Advisory Councils are mostly responsible for the youth events that are held promoting healthy fun such as the alcohol free dance parties and band nights. As a group the YAC is able to access many sources of funding to develop the young peoples lifestyle in our community. This is a fun and extremely valuable group to be involved in.
