Waste Management
Shire Rubbish and Recycling Services
The Shire's rubbish and recycling collection service extends to the Bridgetown residentail area, Greenbushes, North Greenbushes and also a wide range of estates on the outskirts of town.
Collection of the red rubbish bins happen every week on a Wednesday in the Bridgetown area and every Tuesday for the Hester, Greenbushes and North Greenbushes residents.
Recycling collection is also an important part of our Waste Management Service. The recycling bins get collected every second week, on a Wednesday for the Bridgetown area and surrounding estates and on a Tuesday for the Greenbushes, North Greenbushes and Hester residents. Please refer to the map and calendar for actual pickup dates.
In addition to the roadside rubbish and recycling collection, the Shire also has a Waste Management Site in Bridgetown located on the Bridgetown-Boyup Brook Road approximately 4km from the town centre and a Transfer Station in Greenbushes located behind the Old RoadBoard building. For more information regarding these sites please click on the Bridgetown & Greenbushes Waste Sites link. A whitegoods collection will commence in the spring.
Tip tokens are issued with the rate notices each year. Additional tokens can be purchased from the Customer Service Area at the Shire Administration Office, 1-3 Steere Street, Bridgetown, Monday - Friday 9:00am - 4:30pm.
Remember - you must present your pass to gain entry to the waste management sites.
